Please Note: The 1870 census was the first census in Virginia conducted under the Underwood Constitution of 1870 that changed the structure of Virginia County governance and divided the counties into townships. In an effort to consolidate the 52 questions enumerated in the Agricultural Census for 1870 those columns enemerating products for which there was no value in the Township have been deleted. In this township the deleted columns were 22, 23, 25, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46. To see the entire listing of products surveyed please select here.
