Report abt Prison Bounds  Pursuant to an order of the Honble
District Court of Fredericksburg to us directed.  We have laid off the
Bounds of the said District Prison as followeth.

-Beginning at the corner of the Lott at present occupied by Mr.
Duncan at the junction of the main street of the crofs street which
divides the said Lott of the Markett house lott, thence running with
the main street on the upper side thereof to the lower corner of the
house occupied by Mr. Coltart, thence a strait line acrofs the main
street to the upper corner of the lott now occuped by Mr. Benson,
thence with the line of the said lott to the upper side of water street,
thence along the upper side of water street to the junction of the
same with the crofs street mentioned above, thence with the said
crofs street on the upper side thereof to the lower end of Mr. Wm.
Glafsell'd Bale House at the upper end of the Fredericksburg
Tobacco warehouse, thence a strait line acrofs the main street to the
lower corner of the line which divides the lott of Edward Herndon
from the one formerly owned by Mr. Wm. Harvey, thence with the
division line of the said lott's to the upper corner of said lotts on the
lower side of the street running (from the Court House) parrallel to
the main street, thence a strait line acrofs the said street to the upper
side thereof, which we suppose wil be at the most northerly corner of
Mr. James Blair's House, thence along the upper side of said street
towards the Court House, to the junction thereof with the crofs street
leading from Mr. Yates's House to the main street at the corner of
the House formerly occupied by Wm. Jenkins dec.d thence along the
Crofs street last named to the lower corner of Mr. Yates's Garden
adjoining his Dwelling House, thence along the lower line of railing
of said Garden to the crofs street which divides the said Garden from
the Free Mason's Burying Ground, thence along the southern
boundary of the said crofs street to opposite the South Westernly
Corner of the House now occupied by Mr. James Allen jr. thence
along the upper line thereof to the Livery Stables' lott + with the
upper line of the same to the crofs street first mentioned, + thence
with the said street by the most northernly bounds thereof to the
Place of Beginning. -Which in addition to the former Bounds includes
the Lotts' + Houses now occupied by Wm. Herndon, Maria Hume,
Mrs. Whitler, George Norwood, Bartholomew Fuller, Mordecai
Mastin, Fontaine Maury, John F. Brooke, James Allen jr. The Livery
Stables, Robet Mercer and the Free Mason's Burying Ground. Given
under our hands this 9th of May 1795.
