John Metcalfe Commissioner of the Revenue for the District of Fredericksburg this day made oath before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the Corporation aforesaid, that the foregoing contains, to the best of his knowledge & belief, a true & correct list of taxable property within the Corporation aforesaid.
Given under my hand this 6th day of July 1844.

I, John Metcalfe, Comissioner of the Revenue for the District of Fredericksburg, do hereby certify that I delivered a true copy of the foregoing property book to the Sheriff of Spotsylvania County on the 3d day of July 1844.

And I further certify that the Commissioner of the Revenue has complied with the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly passed the 3d day of March 1840, as contained in the 33rd--34th & 35th sections of said act.
