Virginia Herald, 1805

Part 4 of 4 Parts

The Virginia Herald was a weekly newspaper published in Fredericksburg, Virginia between 1787 and 1875. The name-event index was created in a mimeographed form by Robert A. Hodge in 1969. The original index included all the issues then available on microfilm in the Mary Washington College Library. The electronic version was created by the Center for Historic Preservation at Mary Washington College by scanning a copy of the text and then modifying the format to fit a table. To speed the loading of the information, the original four year index and been broken down into four, one-year indicies. Comments, or corrections to this index should be sent to Gary Stanton at Mary Washington College. gstanton@umw.edu

The microfilm reels of the Virginia Herald are available in Fredericksburg at the Rappahannock Regional Library and at Simpson Library at Mary Washington College.
