FREDERICKSBURG, Dec. 20, 1768.

THE subscriber hereby gives notice, that he has in his possession, a middle sized grey horse, with a bob tail, roached mane, his foretop cut, paces slow, has the mark of a collar, and branded on the near buttock IP: which said horse was found in the possession of a person who called himself James Williams, who it seems made his escape from the Sheriff of abondoun, as he was conveying him to the public goal, and was afterwards taken up and committed to the gaol of Spotsylvania county, from whence he also made his escape. Whoever owns the aforesaid horse, may have him on proving their property, and paying charges.
