FREDERICKSBURG, March 3, 1773,
In the Night of Saturday the 27th Ultimo the Store kept by the Subscriber, in the Absence of Mr. George Mitchell, Merchant of this Place, was broke open and robbed of a Drawer containing CASH, a BILL of SALE from George Mitchell Colonel Fielding Lewis, sundry other Papers, and the under mentioned TOBACCO NOTES; also a Case with MONEY SCALES and WEIGHTS, and a GARNET NECKLACE set in Gold, like open Roses, valued at about twenty Guineas.

Upon making out a proper List of the above Tobacco, in Fredericksburg, Royston's, and Dixon's, the Notes have been got from the different Inspectors; Lists of Tobacco on the other Warehouses have also been sent, and the Notes are expected of Course; of which the Publick are desired to take Notice, as well for the particular Safety of Individuals as for the Detection of the Villains, whose Education being probably of a Degree with their Humanity, they may be ignorant enough to expose the above Contents, wherein they cannot fail of being detected, after this timely Notice, and to which the Publick are again entreated to pay due Regard. If any Persons, having a just Suspicion tending to discover the above Robbery, or have got any of the above Contents ignorantly, or otherwise, their signifying the same as soon as may be shall be duly acknowledged by
