This electronic version includes annotations within square brackets "[]" collected from the hard copy surviving in the Clerk's office of the Fredericksburg Circuit Court. The principal source of the document, however, was the microfilm version from the Virginia State Library. This copied was considered authoritative because researchers would have the greatest access to the resource. The differences in the two documents (they have the same date) are largely scribal, although in some instances additional information was included in one the other document.
