FREDERICKSBURG, June 3, 1771.
IF any of the descendents of John Hellier, who came to Virginia many years ago, from Bristol, in Great Britain, and settled on the freshes of Rappahannock River, will apply to me in Fredericksburg, they be informed of a particular enquiry made after them, perhaps much to their advantage.--I have received information of a family of the name of Hilliard, who came from Bristol, and formerly settled in the neighbourhood of the late Colonel Turner, on Rappahannock. If any of that family are alive, perhaps they may be able to reconcile the difference of the name from convincing circumstances, as there is so great a similitude in the sound.
ROGER DIXON.
