On Thursday last, at the court of Oyer and Terminer, the following criminals were brought to their trials, and received sentence, viz. John Cunningham and John Parks, from Spotsylvania, for felony: Acquitted. John Smothers, from Fairfax, for felony, Acquitted. John Scolds, from Spotsylvania, for burglary: Acquitted. Elizabeth Bolton, from Spotsylvania, for felony: Guilty. Death. John Brown, from Nansemond, for felony: Guilty. Death. John Ingham, from Fredericksburg, for murder: Remanded, for trial, to his county jail.
