A List of Town Lots within the District of John Metcalfe, Commissioner of the Revenue Corp'n Fredericksburg for 1845

This is the first year that the Fredericksburg Commissioner of Revenue used printed forms to send the Land Book to the Virginia State Treasurer. The printed forms reversed the order of the columns for value of buildings and value of Lots + buildings. The printed form also omitted a column for rent totals of an owner's property which has been included [from the Clerk's office copy] and the printed form included a column for City which has not been transcribed, since every property was within the Town of Fredericksburg. Square brackets indicate that additional information in the explanation column was available on the copy surviving in the Clerks office of the Fredericksburg Court House.
